Frequently asked questions (FAQ's)

We hope that we can answer your questions below, but if for some reason you don't find the answer you're looking for, please visit the contact page for more information.

Q: If I submit my information through the 'Book a Show' form, am I obligated to book a performance?

A: No.  By submitting through the 'Book a Show' form, you're simply informing us of your interest to book a performance with Unicorn Players, Inc. and reserving your optimal booking dates while we contact you to work out the specifics.  Think of it more as a request for information -- with a serious interest to book a performance.

Q: When is payment due?

A: Payment is due at the close of performance unless prior arrangements have been made with our office and a purchase order received from your paying agency two weeks before performance date.

Q: When will Unicorn Players arrive on the performance date?

A: Unicorn Players will arrive at least a half hour prior to the start of the show (curtain time).  Please have the play area cleared and the children already seated, so as to avoid any possible delays in setting up.

Q: Who adapts the scripts?

A: Founder/director Jim Hayes has adapted all of Unicorn Players' scripts since its formation in 1974.

Q: How long does a performance last?

A: Each performance lasts approximately 50 minutes.

Q: I've heard that theater people can be somewhat ... eccentric.  What type of people does Unicorn Players, Inc. use in its productions?

A: Rest assured that Unicorn Players' cast and crew are top-notch, professional entertainers.  We pride ourselves on our level of professionalism and audience appropriate behavior.

Q: I am interested in acting and would like to take part in a performance.  Is Unicorn Players currently taking on new players?

A: Unicorn Players is always looking for new talent.  While we are not currently taking on new players, we do plan to post our submission policy on the website in the near future.  Please check back often.

Q: My child is interested in participating in a Unicorn Players, Inc. production.  How do I get him/her involved?

A: While Unicorn Players isn't currently producing any shows requiring child actors, we are always looking for talented young stars.  We will be posting our submission policy on the website in the near future, so we encourage you to stop back often.
