Jim Hayes (founder/director)
Jim was one of the founders of Unicorn Players, Inc. in 1974, because he enjoyed acting for children and felt strongly about the importance of encouraging young people to read good literature and exposing them to the excitement of live theater. Since that time, he has adapted all our scripts, directed many productions, and acted with the company on many occassions.
Shirley Adams (president)
After moving to Portsmouth from Los Angeles several years ago, she has been involved in many Unicorn Players, Inc. productions, designing sets and costumes, as well as lending her talents to area productions as a costume mistress to touring shows and Shawnee State University productions.
